  • Días de los Muertos: The Art of Remberance

    Hi-ARTS invites you to The Art of Remembrance: Días de los Muertos Celebration! Throughout the month of October, we welcome you to join us in honoring and celebrating the lives and memories of our ancestors. Through Ofrenda (Community Altar), The Art of Remembrance: Shrine-Making Workshop, and our Opening Ceremony, this celebration of the departed serves as a collective expression of our love and Remembrance. These offerings are designed to bring us together to remember, grieve, and process the ideas of death in community.

    Hi ARTS is thrilled to partner with Eto Otitigbe on a series of community-centered programming that will culminate with the installation of Emanativ, a public artwork to be installed at the Manhattan Greenway Harlem River in 2026

  • ONE WALL MOVEMENT

    ONE WALL MOVEMENT is a public art initiative that commissions muralists, graffiti artists, writers, and street artists to create a large-scale mural.

  • Launched by HI-ARTS, MIXTAPE MOVEMENT was a year-long sonic collaborative project conceived, curated, and compiled by DJ Reborn with the goal of sonically documenting and reflecting upon historic times we found ourselves in during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, alongside social and political protest.   • #HiHealth2021 was a robust virtual program centered around self-care and health throughout the month of March 2021, one year after New York City went on PAUSE. During these 4 weeks, Hi-ARTS engaged staff, community, and artists in virtual programming centered around health and wellness as it relates to BIPOC communities. Learn more.
